The Alignment of Language and Intelligence
And a language was taught unto all the children of men,
that they might speak and write a pure and undefiled language,
according to the records of the Paternal Chain.
Every restoration brings back more than doctrine โ it brings back language. The words a people use to name God determine the God they are capable of knowing. When the Lord scattered the builders at Babel, He did not merely change their vocabularies. He fractured the conceptual structure by which intelligence understands the divine order. The confusion of tongues was the confusion of governance.
The institutional church has continued that fracturing in its own way. The term "Heavenly Father" is a warmth-word that conceals the literal identity of Ahman โ Michael โ Adam, the head of the human family and the Paternal Chain. "Jesus Christ" is a Hellenised title that softens the precision of Son Ahman โ the Mediator and Prototype of saved intelligence. "Elder" replaces Master. "Bishop" replaces Steward. Each substitution softens the legal sharpness of the original and makes the doctrine easier to revise.
This lexicon is a translation key. Not from one human language to another โ but from institutional fog back to precision. Learning these terms is not an academic exercise. It is the first act of alignment with the 1879 Frequency. The names we use are the names the Paternal Chain uses, and to speak them correctly is to begin inhabiting the same framework that Joseph Smith stood in when he received the revelations that the correlated curriculum removed.
Read each entry not as a definition to be memorised, but as a correction to be felt. You may find that some of these terms describe things you already believed โ you simply lacked the word that matched the weight of them.
The Orders of Intelligence & Lineage
The priesthood orders of the original restoration were not honorary titles โ they were administrative jurisdictions with specific stewardships, legal authority, and lines of accountability reaching back to Michael-Ahman himself. The institutional church retained the names Melchizedek and Aaronic but stripped away the governing structure those names once described. Here are the orders as they were constituted before the revision.
The highest order of masculine intelligence; the literal fathers and anchors of the Paternal Chain. This order administers the spiritual mysteries and the keys of the Elohim. It is not a rank conferred by a committee โ it is a lineage inherited and sealed. (D&C 107:18-19)
The organized body of feminine intelligence; the keepers of the domestic grid and the sacred weavers of the family unit. The Matriarchal Order is not auxiliary. It holds the Oracle and Healing functions that the Patriarchal Order cannot supply alone.
The preparatory order focused on the temporal grid, industrial management, and the outward statutes. The Levitical Order manages the physical infrastructure of Zion โ the land, the storehouse, the purification rites. Without it, the higher orders have no physical jurisdiction. (Hebrews 7:11)
The intensive educational module where Apprentices and Masters refine their intelligence and prepare for the literal presence of the Elohim through sacred tokens and covenants. Joseph opened the School in Kirtland in 1833. It has not officially closed โ it reconvenes wherever the Remnant gathers in the 1879 Frequency.
Governing Councils & Entities
Zion is not a feeling โ it is a government. The original restoration included specific deliberative bodies with defined jurisdictions, checks on authority, and constitutional functions. These were not committees of the church corporation. They were the legislative, executive, and judicial arms of the Kingdom of the Elohim on earth, and their framework remains the legal blueprint of the Order.
The deliberative body responsible for the outward protection, political autarky, and the establishment of the kingdom of the Elohim on earth. Joseph organised it in 1844. It represents the political arm of Zion โ the mechanism by which the Saints become a self-governing people, no longer dependent on Babylon's legal systems.
A body of Masters who act as a constitutional check on the Steward to ensure the United Order maintains its Zionic equilibrium. Authority in the Order is not absolute โ it is accountable. The Council of Friends is the mechanism by which that accountability is maintained.
The specific industrial engine of the United Order; the collective of businesses and resources managed for the benefit of the common stock. This was the original framework for how the School funded its operations โ not through donations to a corporation, but through shared productive enterprise.
The three presiding High Stewards who hold the keys of the Paternal Chain for the entire remnant grid. This is not an administrative convenience. It mirrors the governing triad of the Elohim โ the pattern of three that appears throughout the architecture of the Kingdom.
Economic & Industrial Terms
The Law of Consecration is the most radical and the most misunderstood doctrine of the Restoration. It was not a fundraising programme. It was a complete restructuring of property, labour, and surplus under covenant law โ designed to make poverty structurally impossible within the Zion community. What the institutional church calls 'self-reliance' is a pale echo of what Joseph actually legislated. These are the terms of the original law.
The deeded organization of families in a Branch who have entered the covenant of the common stock to achieve industrial autarky. Every family deeds their surplus to the Storehouse and receives back a stewardship โ property held in trust, managed for the benefit of the whole. This is not socialism. It is covenantal stewardship under Zionic law.
The consecrated repository of surplus; the physical heart of the United Order's economic resilience. When the Storehouse is functioning, no member of the Branch goes without. It is the material expression of the covenant that the Elohim will provide โ through the faithfulness of the people themselves.
The legal and spiritual transfer of surplus and agency to the United Order. Consecration is not charity โ it is a covenant act with legal standing. The one who consecrates is removing their surplus from the Babylonian economy and placing it under the governance of the Elohim. (D&C 42:30)
The total resource pool of the Branch, used to eliminate poverty and fund industrial growth. Every steward contributes surplus. Every steward draws according to just wants and needs. The common stock is the material proof that Zion is not a metaphor.
The state of being industrially and spiritually independent from the Babylonian market system. A Branch that has achieved autarky cannot be economically coerced. This is the strategic goal of the United Order โ not merely to survive within Babylon, but to become genuinely free of it.
Holy Order of the Elohim โ Structural Terms
These are the terms by which the Order describes its own members and roles. If you are reading this as a newcomer, this is the vocabulary you will encounter as you engage with the School. The shift from institutional language to Paternal language is not cosmetic โ each term carries a specific relational and legal meaning that its institutional equivalent has lost.
A localized node of the Zion grid; an autarkic community of gathered families operating under the United Order covenant. A Branch is not defined by geography assigned by headquarters โ it is defined by the covenant relationships of the families within it.
The manager of the local storehouse and arbiter of temporal equilibrium and the common stock. A Steward is not a judge of worthiness for temple access. He is an economic administrator accountable to the Council of Friends and the Paternal Chain above him.
An intelligence currently acquiring the technical and spiritual skills of the Order. The word 'member' implies passive belonging. The word 'Apprentice' implies active learning and a relationship with a Master who is responsible for their development.
One who has achieved proficiency in a specific module of the terrestrial economy and the spiritual disciplines of the School. A Master is not a title conferred at age eighteen. It is a demonstrated competency in the governance of self, family, and stewardship.
A Master set apart to preside over the spiritual welfare of the Branch โ the keeper of the Noahic covenant of preservation and the mediator of the higher ordinances within the local grid.
Cosmology & Deific Titles
This is the category that will feel most unfamiliar โ and most important. The God of Joseph Smith is not the God of the creeds. He is not three-in-one, not unknowable, not immaterial. He is a being of intelligence and substance who exists in a governing council with others of His kind, who once stood where we now stand, and who is training us to stand where He now stands. These names are not titles of reverence alone โ they are administrative designations within the governing order of the universe.
The Paternal Council of literal, embodied creators who govern the intelligences of the universe. The Elohim are not a committee of equals โ they are a structured council with defined jurisdictions, operating under law. Abraham saw their council when they organised this world. Joseph Smith taught their nature explicitly: they are beings of the same species as us, further along the same path. (Abraham 4:1)
The executive member of the Elohim tasked with the terrestrial organisation and the guidance of the Remnant. In the pre-1879 doctrinal framework, Jehovah is not the Father โ He is the Son acting in the Father's name for the purpose of the Redemption. The confusion of Jehovah with the Father is one of the most consequential doctrinal errors the institutional church introduced. To restore the distinction is to restore the entire governing structure of the Paternal Chain.
The Michael-Ahman; the literal head of the human family and the Paternal Chain. Adam is not merely the first man โ he is the presiding intelligence of this world, the one who holds the keys of the Dispensation of the Fulness of Times, and who will call all dispensation heads together at Adam-ondi-Ahman before the final work of the Redemption. He is our literal Father. He walked this earth. He knows our condition from the inside. (D&C 78:20; D&C 107:54-55)
The literal Son of the Father; the Mediator and the Prototype of saved intelligence. He holds the office of Jehovah for the purpose of Redemption. He is not categorically separate from humanity โ He is the demonstration of what humanity is capable of becoming. The Lectures on Faith are explicit: to have faith in Christ requires knowing what He is. He is a being of the same species as the Father, and as us. (Lectures on Faith 7:9)
Those who have been adopted into the Paternal Chain and operate in the authority of the Son. The Sons Ahman are not merely believers โ they are intelligences who have received the name as a legal adoption into the lineage of Michael-Ahman, with all the rights and responsibilities that lineage carries. (D&C 95:17)
The administrative hierarchy nearest to the deific throne โ the second governing intelligence in the Abrahamic facsimile, holding authority next to Kolob. The name appears in Abraham's record as a designation of the governing order nearest to the source of intelligence. It reminds us that the cosmos has a structure, and that structure has names. The Restoration of Names
